Coming soon: Field permissions in Dataform views
At present, when a user opens a record from a Dataform View, all fields are visible to the user by default, regardless of their relevance or sensitivity. This limits admins' ability to control data access within views.
What’s new?
We are enhancing Dataform views in Kissflow Apps with Field permissions. This capability provides finer control over which fields users can interact with when viewing a record.
With Field permissions, you can define each field's access level in a Dataform, similar to what’s already available in Process and Board forms. The permissions available for each field are:
- Editable: Users can view and edit the field.
- Read-only: Users can view but not edit the field.
- Hidden: The field is completely hidden from the user.
What does it mean for you?
Field permissions enhance data security, privacy, and customization in Dataform views, empowering app builders to tailor the experience and ensure users see only what’s relevant.
This feature is scheduled to go live in the first week of June. For more information or any questions, please comment below or contact our support team.
