Apps FAQs

What programming languages can I use to create Kissflow Apps?

Kissflow Apps is not focused on a single programming language; nevertheless, our Software Development Kit (SDK) is designed for client-side apps and is written in JavaScript. You can also interact with server-side apps using our Run script connector in integration.

Can you provide me with a Kissflow Apps account for testing purposes?

You can try out the Kissflow Apps module with the Basic and Enterprise plan during the 14-day trial phase. If you don't already have an account, you may sign up for a free trial by going to Kissflow and entering your work email address.

Do you have a central platform to access different low-code apps?

Not at the moment! However, we are in the process of building a Kissflow App Store where you can build and share your applications using the Kissflow Apps framework. You'll also have access to hundreds of applications from different Kissflow users.

How can I manage public and private access to Kissflow Apps and their processes?

How do I provide public access to apps?

Kissflow Apps themselves do not support public links. This means there is no direct way to provide public access to an entire app. However, specific components within the app, such as processes, offer limited public access in the form of public process links. Public links are exclusive to these individual processes and enable public users to interact with forms but not access the app itself.

Private Access and Sharing Methods

Since apps cannot have public links, providing access requires sharing the app intentionally with specific users. You can share the app with intended users by inviting them and assigning appropriate roles. Ensure they are licensed users to access the app.

If you need to collect data from external users, consider using public links for specific processes rather than attempting to share the entire app. Public process links are designed for enabling external interactions, such as form submissions, while maintaining the private status of the app.

What if I need an entire app to be public?

Kissflow Portals can also be used as an alternative to an app that needs to be shared and accessed by external users.
