Upcoming change: New limits for JSON variable data in Kissflow Apps

We are implementing new limits for JSON variable data and schema in Kissflow Apps to ensure system stability and better performance.

Currently, there are no limits. However, starting the second week of February 2026, the following limits will apply to new and existing JSON variables in Kissflow Apps across all environments.

New limits for each JSON variable

Objects data type

• Root object keys: 100 maximum (top level)

• Nesting depth: 2 levels

• Array items: 10 per array

• Array item object keys: 10 per array

Array of strings data type

• Root array items: 30 maximum

Array of objects data type

• Root array items: 100 maximum

• Nesting depth: 3 levels

• Array items: 10 per array

• Array item object keys: 10 per array

What this means for you

These new limits will affect your existing JSON variable data.

We strongly recommend auditing and editing your JSON variable data to comply with these limits immediately to avoid disruption upon rollout.

Release timeline
