Enhancing Data Security in Kissflow: Restricting Access to User Management Fields
Do you want to protect sensitive user data in your Kissflow user management?
Ensure data protection by restricting access to specific fields in the user management. This way, you can have better control over your data and prevent unauthorized access to sensitive information.
How does it work?
Sarah is the HR manager at Stark Corporation and manages employee data for the organization. She has implemented a privacy policy to ensure that the phone numbers of the employees are kept confidential and only accessible to the HR department for specific work-related purposes, such as emergencies or contacting the employees. To ensure this, she has restricted the phone number fields of all employees in the user management table.
To restrict specific user management fields from being used by other users in flows, follow these steps:
Go to My profile > Account administration > User management.
In the User Management page, you will find a list of users and fields containing user data.
Click the dropdown arrow next to the field you want to restrict and select Protected from the options. This ensures that the field cannot be accessed or used by any application within your account and is only available to Account Administrators.
Pro Tip: You can also hide specific fields in user profiles and restrict users from modifying them.

Assad suggested limiting access to sensitive data, allowing only HR administrators and team leaders to view it. This step aims to boost employee privacy and security by ensuring that only authorized personnel can access confidential information.
