Coming soon: Custom form field component for Kissflow Apps

We are excited to announce that platform extension capabilities will soon be available in Kissflow, giving you the power to customize features and tailor the platform to your unique needs.

As a first step, we are introducing the new custom field component feature that will allow you to add custom form fields to use across all forms within an app. This will include a specialized SDK bundle to help you understand how custom form fields function.

This release will introduce custom field components and enhanced page components, with future expansions planned to extend these capabilities across the platform.

What’s changing?

Currently, only one type of custom component can be created. With this release, you’ll be able to choose between:

• Page components – Custom components designed for pages.

• Field components – Custom form fields to use in forms.

 

You can manage both types of custom components from a unified Manage components page.

 

What this means for you

• When creating a new component, you will choose either Field or Page to define the custom component’s type.

• After this release, the Manage components page will be the centralized space where you can view, sort, and archive all your custom components. This means that the custom component management options will be removed from the left navigation panel in the app builder.

• The form builder will feature a new category of fields called Custom where all the published custom form fields will be listed for use.

• There will be no changes in how page components behave and how you use them.

 

This feature will roll out in April 2025 exclusively to Enterprise customers.
