Product Tip: How to fix the “No assignee” error in Kissflow Process

“There is no assignee in the next workflow step” is a  common error message that can come up in a process for various reasons.

The following are the possible causes and solutions: 

Cause 1: The assignee is an inactive user in Kissflow;

Solution: Process Admins can change the step assignee or reassign this item from the Global My items section.
Cause 2: The assignee is fetched from a User field or Email field in the form. If those fields are empty, the system will not be able to choose an assignee.
Solution: The Process Admin can make the field mandatory or select an assignee for the item from the Process Administration page. 
Cause 3: Inadvertent formula errors in the workflow step assignment options.
Solution: Process Admins can review the workflow step configuration and modify the formula.
Cause 4: The assignee field looks up data from a dataset that doesn’t have the required user information.
Solution: Process Admins can review the dataset and assign users to the field.
