Upcoming changes to Kissflow forms for improved performance

We want to share an important update about upcoming changes to Kissflow forms. Our team has been closely monitoring form performance and analyzing usage patterns, and we have identified an opportunity to optimize form efficiency for most of our users.

Based on our analysis, we have found that the average form size is well below the current limits. To ensure optimal performance for all users, we will be implementing the following changes in approximately two weeks:

  1. Field limit: Each form will have a soft limit of 1000 fields.

  2. Child table limits: Each child table will have a soft limit of 100 columns. Additionally, each form will support up to 10 child tables.

What this means for you:

  • Your published forms will continue functioning normally without disruptions, even if they exceed the new limits. The limits will affect only new fields, tables, or columns added to these forms.

  • If your form requirements exceed the new soft limits, you will need to either remove existing fields/columns or request an increase in the limit from an admin.

  • Existing forms exceeding limits will not support section duplication without first increasing the limits.

  • To help you effectively manage your forms within the new limits, we will implement warning notifications when you approach the thresholds (e.g., 990 fields or 90 columns).

We understand that every business has unique form requirements, and we are committed to providing you the flexibility and support you need to meet them. Stay tuned for the official release announcement in two weeks! In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our Kissflow support team.
