Coming soon: Mention anyone in process comments
Currently, process assignees can mention only item initiators and previous-step assignees (participants) in comments. To involve a non-process user, you typically have to switch to chat or other communication tools.
That changes soon, as you’ll be able to mention users from larger pools, without adding them to the workflow.
What’s new
With this update, assignees can mention any user in the process/account (non-participant) for quick reviews or expert opinions. This brings the right people into comment threads without expanding workflow access to them. They can view the item as it appears at the step where they were mentioned.

Process admins will be able to enable these permissions and choose to:
Allow assignees to mention any user in a process.
Allow assignees to mention any user in the account.

Inside apps
You can also mention non-participants in comments within Kissflow Apps, enabling the same contextual collaboration inside processes part of apps.
App Admins can control this by choosing to:
Allow assignees to mention any user in the app’s process
Allow assignees to mention any user in the app
What this means for you
Faster decisions: Get instant feedback from users without requiring them to be formal assignees.
Controlled access: Non-participants can react and reply only in the specific comment thread where they were mentioned.
Release timeline
This feature will be rolled out by the end of January 2026.
