Upcoming changes to dynamic filter fields in dataset view

We are removing certain dynamic fields and values from the advanced filter in a dataset view.

Whatโ€™s changing?

  1. The Current user option will no longer be available under any field.

  2. We are removing the dynamic values under date or datetime fields like Created at and Modified at. The following are the values that will be removed:

Now, Next 6 hours, Next 12 hours, Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday, This week, Last 7 days, Next 7 days, Last 14 days, Next 30 days, This month, This quarter, Next quarter, This year.

Note: You can still use the date picker to manually select an exact date and time as the value for the date and datetime fields.

How it works now

Currently, the date or time-based filters are static once set at the time of view configuration, i.e., they use the time the filter was created and do not update dynamically during future use.

For example, if your filter condition is set as below:

Modified at | Equal to | Value | Next 6 hours

This filter will only include items modified in the 6 hours from the time it was setโ€”not the next 6 hours from whenever the dataset view is accessed.

To combat this issue, you can use the date and time picker to choose the exact time needed and keep the filter conditions precise.

What does this mean for you?

If you have any existing filters that use these fields, they will not be removed or affected and will continue to work. However, if you edit or reconfigure the conditions, you will no longer be able to see these dynamic fields and values.

This update is set to be rolled out in last week of April 2025.
