Upcoming enhancement: Context-rich chat notifications with item data

Currently, notification customization in Kissflow is available for channels like Email, Web app, and Push, where you can include relevant field data from the item to provide context. 

However, notifications delivered to external chat applications such as Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, and Slack are currently limited to basic updates, without the ability to include item data or tailor the content.

As a result, you often need to open the item to understand the full context before taking action. That’s about to change.

What’s new

We’re enhancing chat app notifications to be more contextual and actionable by letting you include relevant item data directly in notifications sent via the Kissflow Bot.

Instead of receiving generic updates in chat apps, you can now see the key information you need, right inside Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, and Slack. This helps you make faster, more reliable decisions without leaving the conversation.

With this enhancement, you’ll be able to:

• Include relevant item data directly in chat notifications, so you have the context you need at a glance.

• Customize which Kissflow notifications are sent to MS Teams, Google Chat, and Slack.

• Apply the same notification customization logic used for Email and Web app notifications.

• Preview how these notifications will appear in the respective chat apps before enabling them.

 

This brings external chat apps into Kissflow’s unified notification framework, with richer, more contextual updates.
