Adding advanced filters using AI
Instead of manually building filter conditions, you can use natural language to tell AI what you want to see. To create a filtered view using a text prompt,
Click the Filter button (
).In the filter pane that opens, click Advanced filter.
You will see a text box under the heading Generate advanced filter using AI. Type your filtering criteria in simple, plain language. For example: My high priority assigned items.
Click the Generate button. The AI will create the corresponding filter conditions in the section below.
Once you are satisfied with the generated conditions, click Apply at the bottom of the pane to see your filtered results.
Summarizing and regenerating filters using AI
You can generate a summary of your filter conditions by clicking Filter summary. The system creates an AI-generated summary that describes what your filters represent, which you can then use as a base for new prompts.
To modify it, click Edit summary. Update the summary text to reflect your new requirement, and then click Regenerate to make AI create a new set of filter conditions.
For example, if the original summary says, This filter shows items with priority High that are assigned to the current user, you can edit it to say, This filter shows items with priority Critical that are assigned to the current user, and regenerate filters accordingly.
Here are some examples of what you can ask the AI to do:
To see... |
You can type... |
High-priority items assigned to you |
"My high priority assigned items" |
Items that are past their due date |
"Show me all overdue tasks" |
Items created within the current week |
"Everything created this week" |
Items assigned to a specific person |
"Tasks assigned to Natasha Romanoff" |
Items with multiple conditions |
"All critical items in the approval step due today" |
Troubleshooting common issues
1. The generated filters are not what I expected.
Why it happens: The AI may have misinterpreted an unclear request.
- How to fix it: Try rephrasing your request to be more direct and specific. For example, instead of "Show old tasks," try "Show tasks created before October 1, 2025." Including the names of the fields in your request can often lead to more accurate results.
