Custom components: Introducing custom form fields for Kissflow Apps

We’re thrilled to announce that the Kissflow platform is now more flexible than ever. With enhanced support for advanced custom components, you can extend and tailor the platform to meet even the most sophisticated application needs. As part of this upgrade, we’ve released the custom field component — a powerful new addition to our custom component lineup.

With this release, you can now build custom form fields – allowing you to design and reuse tailored form fields across all forms within an app. To help you get started, we’ve introduced a dedicated set of SDK commands to build robust and functional custom form fields with ease.

In addition to field components, we’ve also enhanced support for page components, giving you greater flexibility to customize the platform to fit your exact requirements.

Key features

Custom field components: You can build and upload custom form fields to use across all forms in your app.

Manage components: A unified page to view and manage both page and field components.

What this means for you

• When creating a new custom component in the app, you can choose either Field or Page as the component type, based on your need.

• The Manage components page is now the centralized space to view, sort, and manage all your custom components. The component management options in the app builder’s left navigation panel have been removed.

• In the form builder, you’ll see a new Custom category among the other field types. All published custom field components will appear here, ready for use.

• No changes have been made to how page components behave or how you use them.

This release marks a significant step forward in making Kissflow more extensible and customizable. And this is just the beginning — soon, custom component capabilities will extend beyond forms and pages, opening up even more possibilities.
