Upcoming transition of Kissflow Projects to Kissflow Boards

As part of our continuous efforts to enhance your project and case management experiences, we’re excited to announce the transition from Kissflow Projects to the more advanced Kissflow Boards. This upgrade will bring you powerful new features while retaining your existing data.

Deprecation of Kissflow Projects

Transition to Kissflow Boards: All existing projects will be seamlessly converted to Kissflow Boards as Kissflow Projects will no longer exist.

Data retention: Your data, including tasks, and roles from your projects, will be carried over to Kissflow Boards, ensuring a smooth transition.

Conversion details:

  • Tasks: All of your existing tasks will be converted to board items.

  • Roles: Existing admin and member roles will stay intact, so you won’t need to reassign permissions.

  • Project steps: Steps will be converted into board statuses, maintaining your workflow.

  • Item watchers: Item watchers will be preserved, ensuring continuity in task monitoring.

  • Subtasks: Subtasks will now be managed as subitems within boards.

  • Views: All your current views will be retained and accessible in the new boards.

  • Project states: States like Active, On hold, and Done will be converted into a custom dropdown field within your board, giving you the same level of control over your project status.

  • Settings: Security settings will be retained.

  • Custom reports: Your custom reports will remain intact so that you can continue to gain insights from your boards.

  • System reports: Some of the system-generated reports will be updated to match the new board metrics.

    • Step summary report → Status summary report

    • Ageing report → Aging report

    • Step performance report → Status performance report

Features not migrated to Kissflow Boards

While most features will transition smoothly, a few will not be available in Kissflow Boards:

  1. Integrations: Existing integrations will not be migrated. You’ll need to set up your integrations newly in Kissflow Boards.

  2. Project states: Active, On hold, and Done will become custom dropdown fields.

  3. Deadline breached activity: When a board item breaches its due date, it won’t be recorded inside its activity log. Instead, you will get notified when the board item breaches its due date.

  4. System reports:

    • Task reports: Assignee summary and State summary reports.

    • Time reports: Assignee performance and Efficiency reports.

    • Flow reports: Cumulative flow diagram, Cycle time histogram, Cycle time scatter plot, Lead time histogram, Lead time scatter plot, and Throughput chart.

  5. Audit logs: Your existing project audit logs will not be migrated to boards.

  6. Archived tasks

  7. Step watchers
