Creating group chats

A group chat allows you to communicate with three or more members of your organization all at once. Groups are classified into four categories based on varying levels of privacy and accessibility.
- Instant group. A quick setup group that doesnβt require any configuration to start with and is primarily used for ad-hoc conversations.
- Open group. Used for general interactions in which members can join directly or request to join.
- Closed group. Allows closed conversations and external collaboration via the group wall.
- Secret group. Allows private and discreet communication with selected members.
Creating an instant group
To create an Instant group,
- Sign in to your Kissflow account and access Chat on the left navigation panel.
- Click the Create a chat button ().
- Type in the names or emails of users with whom you want to start a conversation.
Note:
Instant groups do not require a name, and it supports a minimum of three members and a maximum of 10.
- After adding the required members, click Send ().
Creating a group chat
You can create three types of groups in Kissflow Chat: Open, Closed, and Secret.
To create a new group, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Kissflow account and access Chat on the left navigation panel.
- Click Create a chat button ().
- Enter at least two names or emails of users with whom you want to start a conversation.
- Click Create a group ().
- Enter the group name and update the group icon.
- Next, select the group type as, Open, Closed, or Secret.
- Click Create group button.
