Process watchers: Keep stakeholders in the loop

Need to keep people informed about an item's progress without involving them in the workflow?

You can now add them as watchers to process items. Watchers can follow an item's progress, stay informed about its progress, and participate in conversations without being involved in the workflow itself.

Example

An employee wants their manager to stay informed about a purchase request without involving them in the workflow. By adding the manager as a watcher, they can track progress, receive outcome notifications, and participate in comments.

What can process watchers do?

• View item details in read-only mode
• Track item progress through the workflow
• Participate in item comments
• Receive key item notifications

Key controls and safeguards

• Only users who already belong to the process can be added as watchers.
• Watchers cannot perform workflow actions such as approve, reject, or reassign.
• Process admins can enable or disable watchers for individual processes.
