Image annotation

Image annotation allows you to annotate image attachments within forms, process comments, and board notes. Here is image attachment at a quick glance.
 

 

 

Image annotation in forms

Image annotation in forms across process, boards and apps allows you to add notes, explanations, or highlights to image attachments during the draft stage. Whether you want to emphasize key details, clarify specific elements, or provide additional context, this tool helps you ensure your image attachments communicate exactly what you intend.

To annotate an image attachment, click on the image, on the preview screen click Annotate on the right top corner.

Annotation tools include:

  • Selection tool: Move or delete annotations.

  • Pen tool: Freehand drawing.

  • Shapes: Draw circles, rectangles, arrows, and lines.

  • Highlighter: Emphasize specific areas.

  • Text: Add notes or labels to images.

  • Crop and rotate: Trim unwanted parts or rotate image.

  • Undo/Redo: On the bottom center of the screen, to correct or revert actions.

Once you are done annotating, click Save and replace on the top right corner of your screen. Click Clear all if you want the original image back.

Note:
Image annotation is only available during the draft stage in forms across process, boards, and apps. Once submitted, images can no longer be annotated.

Note:
Image annotation is not available in dataforms in apps

Image annotation in process comments and board notes

In process comments and board notes, you can not only annotate your own image attachments but you can also annotate a copy of the image uploaded by others and attach it to your message as shown in the gif below. Click Save & attach after annotating your image.



This feature allows you to provide clear feedback, facilitating efficient collaboration.
