Basecamp connector
What is Basecamp?
Basecamp is an online collaboration software that allows individuals to manage and communicate with one another's work. It keeps track of all the tasks, deadlines, files, discussions, and announcements at work. Basecamp connector in Kissflow helps you find projects in your Basecamp account.
Connecting to Basecamp
The Basecamp connector of Kissflow Integration enables you to connect and synchronize your Basecamp projects with popular third-party apps and Kissflow apps. You must have a valid Basecamp account and be a paid Kissflow customer to integrate with Basecamp.
Use the Basecamp connector to receive data from other flows or apps to perform specific actions. For now, the connector for Basecamp does not support any trigger events.
For example, you can find details about all or a specific Basecamp project using their name or unique ID.

Basecamp connector as an action step
- Inside your Kissflow account, click your profile picture on the top right corner of the screen and click Integrations from the dropdown. Now, click the New integration button to provide a name and description for your integration.
- Set up trigger step; for example, you can use it to connect with your Kissflow Process account.
- After setting up your trigger step above, click the Add button ( ) next to set up your Basecamp action step. Search for Basecamp and select an available action event.
- After choosing your action event, the next step is to authenticate your connector. Click +Add an account. You'll be prompted to enter your unique Basecamp account ID.
Note:
Sign in to your Basecamp account and look for the unique account ID appended after the Basecamp domain in the address bar. For example, https://3.basecamp.com/
5340051
/account
5. After authenticating with your Basecamp account credentials, add the relevant values against the Basecamp form fields. Hit Refresh fields to view all the updated fields in the selected Basecamp form. You can also map Basecamp fields with your trigger step or previous action fields. The field values will be automatically added to the task fields after the action is executed.
6. After a successful configuration, test whether your Basecamp action step is set up correctly by clicking the Test button. The connector will pull field data from your selected Basecamp account and display it as a JSON output. Similar to the trigger step, errors are notified to you right away. Fix them before retesting the action step.
Setting up a Basecamp workflow
After creating a custom workflow with your Basecamp action step, switch ON the toggle button to activate the integration run. When the integration is active, it will initiate an appropriate action in Basecamp based on the trigger event set up by you.
