Gmail connector
What is Gmail?
Gmail is one of the most widely used email services. It keeps track of all your emails with threaded conversations, tags, and a Google-powered search to help you find any message.
About Kissflow's Gmail integration
Kissflow Integration's Gmail connector lets you connect Gmail instantly with other Kissflow apps and popular third-party applications to automate your work. To integrate with Gmail, you must have a valid Gmail account and be a paid customer of Kissflow. You can use the Gmail connector to receive data from other flows or apps to perform specific actions in Gmail.

Gmail connector as an action step
- Inside your Kissflow account, click your profile picture on the top right corner of the screen and click Integrations from the dropdown. Now, click the New integration button to provide a name and description for your integration.
- Once inside your editor, you can set up a trigger event in any Kissflow or third-party apps.
- After setting up your trigger step above, click the Add button ( ) next to set up your action step. Search for Gmail and select Send an email as the action.
- After choosing your action event, authenticate the connector. Click +Add an account and sign in using your Google account. Kissflow uses Gmail's OAuth for authentication.
- After authenticating with your Gmail account, add relevant values against the Gmail form fields. You can hit Refresh fields to view all the updated fields in the selected Gmail form. You can also map Gmail fields from your trigger step or fields from your previous action steps. These values will be automatically added to item fields after the action is executed.
- These are the mandatory and optional fields that you've to fill in your Gmail configuration form:
- To. These are the recipient(s) of the email. Add emails individually, or as comma seperated values. This is a mandatory field.
- Cc and Bcc. These are the addresses that should be cc'd and bcc'd on the email. Emails can be entered individually, or as comma seperated values. These are optional fields.
- From. This is the email address or alias from your Gmail account. This defaults to your primary email address. This is a mandatory field.
- Subject and body. You can add your custom subject line and body for your email here. These are mandatory fields.
- After a successful configuration, test whether your Gmail action step is set up correctly by clicking the Test button. The connector will pull field data from your selected Gmail account and display it as a JSON output. Similar to trigger step, errors are notified to you right away. Fix them before retesting the action step.
